We know your time is precious. Choosing to spend your weekend with us is a true gift — and we don't take that lightly. Whether you're here for one shift, three shifts, or just a single event helper activity, you are making a real difference, and we are deeply grateful.

FurFest at the Grove and the Music in the Park Festival Fundraiser are powered entirely by community spirit. Every helping hand directly supports our ongoing mission to preserve and restore the historic 1902 structures at Bushkill Park & Grove — including the beloved Whip Building and the Carousel Banquet Hall — while funding vital community programs like Positive Peer Mentoring, Panda Playhouse, and Inclusive Marriage Moments.

Age Requirement: All volunteers and event helpers must be 18 years of age or older. Please be prepared to provide proof of age at check-in.

We offer two ways to help — full volunteers and event helpers. Both are deeply appreciated, and both are featured on our website!

For Full Volunteers

(4-Hour Shift Commitment)

• Discounted Convention Passes: Enjoy 50% off Day Passes and Weekend Passes, or 25% off the VIP Pass — granting access to all 18+ convention programming.

• Official Volunteer Lanyard & Exclusive Badge: An official volunteer-distinguished lanyard and a special volunteer-only badge featuring a 5x7 printout of the volunteer badge design — a collector's keepsake available only to our volunteer team!

• Mom & Pop's Meal Voucher: Each volunteer receives a dedicated meal voucher to use at Mom & Pop's Café when off-shift. (No substitutions; menu items subject to availability.)

• Website Feature: Your fursona name, image, and short blurb will be listed on our website alongside our amazing volunteer team.

• Deepened Community Connection: The satisfaction of helping keep a historic 1902 amusement park alive and thriving!

For Event Helpers

(Single Activity, Under 4 Hours)

• Official "Thank You" Sticker: A special sticker to show our appreciation for your support.

• Website Feature: Your fursona name, image, and short blurb will be listed on our website alongside our full volunteers — because every hand that helps deserves to be recognized.

• Deepened Community Connection: The satisfaction of helping keep a historic 1902 amusement park alive and thriving!

Note: Full volunteer perks are reserved for those completing full 4-hour shift blocks or more.

🕒 Volunteer Roles & Shifts

We look for help across key areas during the weekend (September 24–26, 2027):

• Registration & White Tent Greeters: Welcome attendees, verify IDs for 18+ access, hand out lanyards and badges, and handle early badge pickup/registration.

• Headless Lounge / Badge Check Attendant: Monitor the Headless Lounge entrance and Pavilion 4 doorway. Verify badges for 18+ access, enforce the "No Eyes" privacy rule, and ensure only authorized individuals enter.

• Fursuit Handlers & Lounge Assistants: Assist suiters navigating the historic midway terrain, help monitor the Headless Lounge, manage hydration station coolers, and ensure privacy rules are respected.

• Setup, Cleanup & Event Support: Assist vendors during morning load-in, help manage trash and recycling consolidation, assist with general site tidiness, and support event logistics.

• Grounds & Watchful Oversight: Help maintain site tidiness and keep a watchful eye out for any mischief from attendees or the general public.

• Photography & Media Assistants: Help coordinate photo meetups, check photographers in at Hilarity Hall, Carousel, and Train shoots, assist with crowd control, and support our official event photographer.

• Karaoke Contest Support (Midway Morning Mic): Run the sign-up sheet, manage the mic queue, assist the host with score tallying, and keep the energy up during the Spooky Decades Karaoke Contest.

• DJ Battle & Dance-Off Support (Monster Mash-Up / Bushkill Beats): Assist with stage setup, monitor the dance floor, help judges with scoring, and ensure the crowd stays safe and respectful during evening socials and daytime dance battles.

• Parade Marshal (Fursuit Parade): Assist with lineup, route guidance, and crowd control during Saturday's Fursuit Parade.

Time Commitment: Shifts run in structured 4-hour blocks,

ensuring you still have plenty of time to enjoy the festival, check out the vendors, and attend panels!

​📋 Volunteer Expectations & Guidelines

To keep everyone safe, protect our venue policies, and ensure a smooth event, all volunteers and event helpers agree to:

• Age Requirement: Volunteers and event helpers must be 18 years of age or older (proof of age required at check-in).

• Code of Conduct: Uphold our zero-tolerance policy for harassment and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for all guests and staff.

• Park Hours & Closing: Bushkill Park closes at 10:00 PM nightly (6:00 PM Sunday). All event activities and volunteer shifts conclude by closing time.

• Strict No Outside Food or Drink Policy: Because Bushkill Park operates under a strict venue policy prohibiting outside food and beverages, volunteers must utilize their provided Mom & Pop's Café meal vouchers rather than bringing outside food.

• Safety & Attire: Because Bushkill Park features historic terrain (paved paths, gravel, and grass), closed-toed shoes are required for all volunteers while on shift.

• Sobriety Policy: Zero alcohol or substance use is permitted while on shift. Volunteers must be entirely clear-headed during their duties.

• Orientation: All volunteers and event helpers must complete orientation (in-person Friday at 6:00 PM or via Telegram video call with Miss RinRin before their first shift).

• Reliability: Arrive at your assigned station on time. If you need to cancel or swap a shift, notify Miss RinRin at least 48 hours in advance.

How to Read the Shift Codes in the Form:

• F = Friday

• S = Saturday

• U = Sunday (we use "U" so it doesn't get confused with "S" for Saturday)

The number after the dash is the specific volunteer slot within that block. For example, S2-V4 means Saturday Shift Block 2, Volunteer #4. You can look up exactly what time and role that slot involves in the Master Volunteer Schedule above.

You may select up to 3 shifts total — just check the box next to the slot(s) you'd like. If you're flexible and want us to place you where you're needed most, just let us know in the Role Preferences section and we'll take care of the rest!
