This is an exclusive Early Bird event happening before the park's standard Sunday general admission hours.

• Location: The Historic Roller Skating Rink Floor

• 11:00 AM — Early-Bird Gate Opens & Sign-ups Begin: Arrive at the main gate. Competitor sign-ups open inside the rink immediately!

• 11:00 AM — Tournament Begins: The DJ drops the first beat on the rink floor.

• 11:05 AM SHARP — Gate Locks Sharp: The front gate locks at 11:05 AM so our team can run the competition smoothly. It will NOT reopen until 12:00 PM General Admission.

⚠️ THE 11:05 AM LOCKOUT RULE: If you are sleeping in at the hotel and arrive at 11:06 AM, you will be locked outside until 12:00 PM. Set those morning alarms!

🎟️ PRICING & BADGE SPECTATOR PERKS

• FurFest Badge Holders (VIP Pass, Weekend Pass, Day Pass): FREE Spectator Entry! Present your official FurFest badge at the early-bird gate before 11:05 AM to enter for free. (If you want to enter as a competitor on the floor, standard $10 competitor registration applies).

• General Public Spectators: $7.00 Exact Cash at the gate.

• Competitor Registration: $10.00 Exact Cash at the main rink table.

💵 EXACT CASH & EARLY-BIRD GATE POLICY

Because we operate on a strict 5-minute window before the 11:05 AM gate lockout, we enforce a clean exact-cash policy:

1. Exact Cash / No Change Given: We will not have cash registers or change boxes at the gate for early-bird entry. All cash collected drops directly into a sealed park restoration donation box.

2. The Donation Rule: If you do not bring exact bills, any extra amount is deposited directly into the historic park restoration fund!

• Example 1 (Competitor): Paying $10 with a $20 bill means $10 for entry and a $10 donation to Bushkill Park.

• Example 2 (Public Spectator): Paying $7 with a $10 bill means $7 entry and a $3 donation to Bushkill Park.

🐾 FURSUITERS ON THE RINK FLOOR (RULES & SAFETY)

We want to see the fluff on the floor! However, safety and fairness are our top priorities:

1. The "Heat & Safety" Exemption: Fursuiting is hot, and dancing is intense! If you feel overheated or dizzy during a battle round, you are permitted to "pop your head" (remove your fursuit head) immediately. You will NOT be penalized by the judges for prioritizing medical safety.

2. No Unattached Props Allowed: Only clothing, costumes, and fursuits worn directly on your person are allowed on the dance floor. Handheld props (like portable boomboxes or swords) are not permitted during active battles. Wings, tails, capes, and jackets worn as part of your suit/costume are encouraged!

3. Spatial Awareness & No-Contact Rule: Fursuit vision is limited. Battles require you to react to your opponent, but you must maintain spatial awareness. Intentionally or accidentally bumping, tackling, or contacting your opponent will result in immediate disqualification. Keep a safe distance on the hardwood!

🏆 HOW THE BATTLES WORK

1. The Showcase (Qualifiers): Each dancer gets 45-60 seconds of solo freestyle time to impress our panel of 5 judges. The top performers are seeded into the tournament bracket.

2. The Bracket Battles: 1-on-1 head-to-head elimination rounds! You dance for 30 seconds, your opponent responds for 30 seconds.

3. Sudden Death: If the judges score a tie, the DJ drops one final track, and both dancers go simultaneously! The winner of Sudden Death is decided by Audience Noise Level. 

Pro-Tip: Bring your friends, handlers, and fellow furs to the sidelines. When the MC calls for crowd response, your crew needs to cheer, stomp, and scream the loudest!
